Deadlines

Students may submit their project applications anytime between now and January 20, 2012. Please be reminded that you must obtain pre-approval for certain experiments. See below.

October 30, 2012 -- Deadline postmark date for receipt of initial papers requiring pre-approval by the Scientific Review Committee (SRC) for projects involving invertebrate or vertebrate animals, human subjects, recombinant DNA, tissue, pathogenic agents, or controlled substances.

You must submit research plans to the SRC before any research begins!

These regulations apply even in the case where research involves only surveys, questionnaires or observations. These papers should be filed even though students may not yet know if they are participating in the Contra Costa Science & Engineering Fair.

January 18, 2013 -- Deadline postmark date for receipt of all entry forms from all students who are participating in the Science Fair. For further information, please see the Application page.

All applicants are to apply online as part of the registration process.  Please make sure that all information is identical to the written application information to eliminate unnecessary confusion for the Scientific Review Committee members.
