As a teacher interested in Science Fair competitions for your students, a helpful role you can play is to guide or coach them conducting project research. You will also want to stay updated on all of the new information about the Contra Costa Science & Engineering Fair so you can let your students know about any changes which may affect them in this exciting regional competition.

Roles and Responsibilities of Students and Adults -This document describes the roles of the various adults: Adult Sponsor (that's you), the Qualified Scientist, and the Designated Superivisor. The most basic of projects only require an Adult Sponsor, but people often need to know if they qualify as a Designated Supervisor or Qualified Scientist. The other clarifying information on this link is a description of both the Insitutional Review Board (IRB) and the Scientific Review Committee(SRC). These are the people who review the student projects as they come in.
